Eye Glasses

The only time I don't wear my glasses is when I'm sleeping or taking a shower. I got a 3/4 helmet to stop the wind blast and noise around my ears and with it a face shield. I had been wearing solar shield sun glasses over my vision glasses and the wind buffeting created a blur that really spoiled the riding experience. The face shield ($15.oo) is full of awful distortions. Also, with the tempels over my ears and tucked snugly in with the helmet, any wind buffeting on my helmet still blurs my vision by vibrating my glasses. I tried on a pair of street goggles at Cycle Gear ($25.00) that were really clear (no distortion at all) and fit nicely over my glasses. I want to get them and not use the face shield. But I'm thinking I will still have the blur problem as long as I wear glasses that hang in front of my eyes and are subject to wind buffeting. My most recent serious thought is to get contact lenses that will be adequate at best for seeing while on the road but much better then the awful blur I've been getting. I do have a windshield, but the ever present cross winds can not be avoided. Any thoughts from others that wear glasses? I read well back in the archives of posts and I haven't seen a discussion on this.
